Style Confidante

Founder / Personal Brand, Image and Empowerment Specialist

Executive Presence & Personal Brand Specialists, Melbourne

Style Confidante was born from a desire to help driven, intelligent, down to earth women elevate their Executive Presence for greater influence and career success. Style Confidante plays an important role in women’s lives as a true “confidante” — a trusted, supportive advisor to help you take the next step.

Drawing on rich experience working with corporate and entrepreneurial clients with a broad set of circumstances and challenges, Style Confidante provides the commercial and practical tools, techniques and support to create real change.

In its inception, Style Confidante was focussed on showing women how to save time and money, reduce stress and have a wardrobe that complimented and accentuated their authentic self.

Over time, Style Confidante evolved. As of 2017, Style Confidante is proud to be the first Australian expert providing the tools to evaluate and elevate Executive Presence. We are certified through Bates Communication, who has developed a global science-based model to measure Executive Presence.

Originating in Boston, this research-based tool offers scientific insights to identify gaps and opportunities within an individual’s character, substance and style.

Founder, Melissa Lewis is passionate about the potential of this tool to empower her clients.  Australia is currently ranked 46th on the Global Gender Gap index. At the current rate, the Gender Gap isn’t predicted to close until 2186. These statistics can be changed. It starts with everyone believing in the impact women can make as leaders.

One of my greatest pleasures is assisting intelligent, driven, and hardworking business women to have greater confidence, presence and influence.

My journey to becoming one of Australia’s leading Personal Brand and Presence experts started very early on, through my involvement in the family couture business. I obtained a Bachelor of Business (Property) and my career then blossomed further with the retail giant The Westfield Group where I realised my passion for helping business women unleash their potential.

Over the course of a decade, I worked with thousands of women who were professionally talented and accomplished but struggled with their confidence and personal brand. These women usually lacked the ability to effectively commercialise their talents and reach their professional potential.

Identifying a gap in the market and being fascinated with the power of a woman’s presence, I decided to combine my skills and passion with my corporate experience, becoming an accredited stylist and launching Style Confidante in 2011.

One of my favourite ways to stay sane and motivated is to run half-marathons. I am also a mum of two, so I understand the juggling act, pace and challenges faced by women with full and busy lives — and I have learned never to wear shoes I can’t run in!

If you’re ready to elevate your executive presence and take that next big step in your professional development, we would love to work with you.
